Your Beauty Consultant
Our standard of clean beauty is defined by an emphasis on ingredient selection and guided by our JAFRA Cares List. Our JAFRA Cares List is comprised of ingredients that we choose not to use in our products, now and in the future. Due to the complexities of the beauty industry, technically unavoidable trace levels of an ingredient from the list may occasionally be detected in our products. We work hard to prevent this possibility.
Ingredients that we choose not to use in our products, now and in the future.
Guided by the latest research, we continually evaluate our JAFRA Cares List. We are moving towards removing the following ingredients from our products: • Formaldehyde • Paraformaldehyde • Quaternium-15
Proud member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, we actively explore ways to use materials that are refillable, reusable, recyclable, recycled or compostable. Since spring 2021, our new fragrances come in cartons that are made with a minimum of 70% recycled paper. Since July 2022, all new fragrances are cellophane-free. By adding How2Recycle® labels to our packaging, we’re making it easier for our packaging to be recycled and helping to keep recyclable materials out of landfills. Our goal is to use How2Recycle labels for all new products by the end of 2022.
At JAFRA USA, we strive to reduce our environmental footprint by focusing on deliverable efficiencies. By using UPS® carbon neutral, we offset the carbon emissions from our USA domestic product order shipments to clients and Consultants. For the year 2021, UPS® carbon neutral provided verified offsets to mitigate 127.3 metric tons of JAFRA USA’s CO2 emissions from shipping. Since 2016, JAFRA Manufacturing has received the Clean Industry Certification from Mexico’s federal environmental protection agency (Procuraduria Federal de Protection al Ambiente) for strides in clean energy sourcing, recycling and water use reduction.
Small but mighty, bees are important to people and our planet. In 2022, JAFRA is proud to be donating to Pollinator Partnership, the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to protecting bees and other pollinators. Our Honey Bee Health Grant is helping scientists at the University of Mexico develop a tool to evaluate the risk of pesticide exposure for bees.
JAFRA does not test its products on animals.
