Increased Support of the American Heart Association's
Go Red for Women Movement

Thousands of independent consultants join together to educate Americans about the dangers of heart disease.

One in three American female adults has some form of cardiovascular disease (CVD).  CVD kills more than 461,000 women in America annually and is the leading cause of death among women, and men.*  These are just a few of the statistics fueling JAFRA to strengthen its commitment to the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Go Red For Women (GRFW) movement in 2008.

“At JAFRA, we believe in the power to transform lives and that’s why we are making this unprecedented national philanthropic commitment,” says Frank Mineo, president and chief executive officer.  “We also believe that as a party-plan direct sales company we are uniquely positioned to equip women with the information and resources they need to be heart savvy, heart healthy, and save lives.  And that’s just what we’re going to do – using the power and prestige of JAFRA USA’s independent consultants in both our general and Hispanic markets.”

A key initiative of JAFRA’s Go Red For Women commitment is increasing awareness of heart health with women one-on-one at JAFRA parties across the nation.  In addition, throughout the year JAFRA will donate one dollar from the sale of seasonal products in which part of the purchasing price will be earmarked for donation to the cause.  JAFRA’s goal is to raise a total of $75,000 to help fight heart disease research, treatment and education.

Our goal is also to empower women with knowledge and tools that can be used to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.  Join us in keeping the JAFRA family healthy and strong.  After all, true beauty comes from within, and beautiful health starts with a beautiful heart – yours.
